Praia Fluvial de Ponte da Barca

It is situated on the River Lima in the district of Viana do Castelo and features both a spacious lawn and a sandy beach area. Water sports are permitted. The beach offers a wide range of facilities, a natural swimming pool and a children’s playground. In addition to the bar, there is lifeguard supervision and first-aid equipment available.
In recent years, it has repeatedly been awarded the title of ‘Accessible Beach – Beach for All’; there are access ramps to the sandy beach and paths across the sand that run as close to the water as possible. Access to the toilet facilities is facilitated by ramps.

Er liegt am Fluss Lima im Bezirk Viana do Castelo und verfügt sowohl über eine weitläufige Rasenfläche als auch einen Sandstrandbereich. Wassersport ist erlaubt. Der Strand verfügt über vielfältige Dienstleistungen, ein Naturbecken und einen Kinderspielplatz. Neben der Bar gibt es eine Überwachung durch Rettungsschwimmer sowie Ausrüstung für Erste-Hilfe-Maßnahmen. In den letzten Jahren wurde er immer wieder als „Barrierefreier Strand – Strand für alle“ ausgezeichnet, es gibt Zugangsrampen zum Sandstrand und Wege über den Sandstrand, die so nah wie möglich am Wasser verlaufen. Der Zugang zu den Sanitäranlagen wird durch Rampen erleichtert.
