The Pottery Museum’s collection is entirely dedicated to ceramic production, comprising utilitarian ceramics and sculpture, as well as ceramic tiles, architectural ceramics, equipment and various tools, utensils and artefacts related to this activity, totalling almost 11,000 items.
Most of the objects in the Museum’s collection come from Portuguese pottery centres, with special emphasis on Pottery and Figurines from Barcelos.
The collection also includes ceramic objects from Portuguese-speaking countries such as Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde and East Timor.
Die Sammlung des Töpfermuseums ist vollständig der Keramikproduktion gewidmet und umfasst Gebrauchskeramik und Skulpturen, aber auch Wandfliesen, Architektur- und Ausstattungskeramik sowie verschiedene Werkzeuge, Utensilien und Artefakte, die dieser Tätigkeit gewidmet sind, insgesamt fast 11.000 Objekte. Die meisten Objekte der Sammlung des Museums stammen aus portugiesischen Töpferzentren, wobei die Töpferei und die Figuren von Barcelos besonders hervorzuheben sind. Die Sammlung umfasst auch Keramikobjekte aus portugiesischsprachigen Ländern wie Angola, Brasilien, Kap Verde und Osttimor.
