Inaugurated in 1959, the Museu do Caramulo opens its doors with an unusual collection of art objects consisting of 500 pieces of painting, sculpture, furniture, ceramics and tapestries, ranging from Ancient Egypt to modern-day artists such as Pablo Picasso or Salvador Dali.
This museum also houses a unique collection of classic cars and is built on the principle that all vehicles can be easily removed for display and conservation. It is visited by more than one and a half million people from all over the world.

Das 1959 eingeweihte Museu do Caramulo präsentiert eine ungewöhnliche Sammlung von Kunstobjekten aus 500 Gemälden, Skulpturen, Möbeln, Keramiken und Wandteppichen und vom alten Ägypten bis zu modernen Künstlern wie Pablo Picasso oder Salvador Dali reicht.
